Haha. I was thinking about how much better it would look in my hands once I change up that background. I can't expect them to have super flashy wallpapers though. It would detract from the OS elements they were trying to show off.
They need to make sure that black and white are options for the background, as well. That will make a nice comparison with Windows Phone 7/8 too. You can't see enough of the background in the home screen for anything other than a solid color or a bit of texture to be very aesthetically pleasing, IMHO.
I agree but I don't think there is any reason to be flashy yet. They are still only working with the DEV devices. They should save the flashy stuff for the big release. I think its a good plan how they are doing it. I'm hoping the icon appearance changes as well.
thats one thing about apples presentations that i always like they always have a very unique-ish image something that catches your attention at first and make you appreciate the "retina" display but after a few seconds your mind fades into the OS
Well, I think if they are going to be revamping the Homescreen (If they do, and I hope they do) they should at least use the Highest DPI to show off those beautiful graphics for the Icons, as the OP mentioned but I added in something new.
As a theme junkie, one thing that worries me about BB10, as with the reason why I find iOS boring as well as Windows, is the possibility of no themes. If I have to look at squares only with no themes it will bore me to tears. I hope that there will at least be live wallpapers as in Android.
I agree so far the colors and background has indeed bored me to all h3ll already (I tweak my layout every so days). I still like the UI a bit though.
Just not to keen on the idea of going back to a 4.2" screen yet. I think what I'll end up doing is developing a bb10 theme for cm10 and comparing that to my actual l-series and see what I prefer more lol. That is unless some other dev hasn't already developed a bb10 launcher for android.
