I have a hard time even thinking about pre-ordering when all I have seen is a couple of videos on youtube. Give me something more info, demos, BlackBerry and I might buy one.

I agree wait for some reviews.... and the very least, maybe some BlackFriday specials.

Which it's strange that sales have gone live (pre-order anyway), and yet it seems the NDA hasn't expired......

I also received the email. However, I am going to refrain from ordering. I need more definitive information on the PRIV before I am willing to shell out over $700 (including tax) for the phone. Also, I like to wait a bit when new phones come out and let others be the guinea pigs. I despise buying new phones, only to then be plagued with potential issues and annoying, unresolved bugs, etc. Finally, I want to get my hands on one in a carrier store before making a final decision to purchase.

For a 16GB iPhone 6 or 6S, yes, almost the same price. Also, pretty much in the same ballpark with all the other high-end Android devices on the market.

With these types of carrier restrictions, I believe BlackBerry has already done itself in!

They will eventually. Just not for its initial release. Which is a huge problem for bb.

Sure hope so! Yes, with a flagship device and with BlackBerry standing on its last leg, it would be wise for them to kick things up a notch, in all ways possible, to market this device. If the PRIV isn't available on all carriers at the time of release, many people will make the decision to upgrade to some of the other newly released devices. BlackBerry can't afford to follow the pack. They need to get out there and start being a leader.
