I didn't see an answer to the original post's question about HOW MUCH data Google Maps would use. I am considering getting an 8900 with T-Mobile, but I don't THINK I need a data plan. I realize that Google Maps uses data, but I would only use the application a few times a month. I would like to know if it would consume several megabytes of data on one trip. It would be nice to know if it is even reasonable to expect to pay $5 or so per month for the only data I would use, instead of paying a lot more each month and not getting my money's worth.
