So I was heading to my friends house and all of a sudden i receive a text message. I was holding my books on my left hand so i took out the phone out of its pouch and guess what? it fell to the concrete, cement hard, floor. I gently picked it up and I happened to find a scratch on the top right and a dent/scratch on the bottom right. needless to say I got this phone yesterday at 5:00 pm. Sooo im infuriated I know its under warranty and i want to take advantage of it.
Honsetly I cant stand scratches and I was taking good care of it, but hey accidents happen. I was loving the phone its the curve 8900. I feel sad about the situation but I worked hard to get this phone and I dont think its fair for me to be going through this stress when I JUST GOT IT yesterday

From what I understand if you don't have insurance you won't be getting a replacement and if you do have insurance, you may (more likely probably) will get a refurb. Good luck, though.
Agreed on getting a case for your phone, or a skin. I dropped my two weeks old 8520 today, no scratches thanks to the 5 bucks made in china silicon skin

I dropped mine on the cement getting out of my car. It fell out of my work pants, which have low pockets. It hit the cement without a case or screen protector. It scratched up the silver parts on all four corners but the screen is fine. The funny thing is, I have a silicone case but decided not to use it that day.

since its banged up..just get an invisible shield from zagg...they are great...then put a phone condom (thats what I call them) for like 5.00 or less on ebay.

I bet that is the most frustrating thing that has ever happened to you, lol.

Yeah! If I couldve, I wouldve kicked my own behind. I'm over it now. It doesn't look as nice with the scratches but its no longer a big deal. I guess the wow factor is gone. Haha.

Having some minor aesthetic flaws give your phone character, and the appearence you have seriously used the phone. Use it to your advantage. But use it wisely.

I second this. A "Condom" as my friend calls it is cheaper than insurance. Also a screen protector is a good idea too.
I'm sorry for all the dropped BB's. Dropped my Storm a few weeks ago. No scratches or dents just an 'End' button that doesn't work anymore. Once I get it replaced it'll be good as new.

Honestly, if you don't put a case/cover/some sort of protection on your phone, you might as well not even get a new one. Scratches/drops are inevitable, so deal with it. It's just a phone. Or get a cheap case and not worry about drops. I have dropped mine a billion times and couldn't care less because I have a cover on it.
