    Old Skool 7100 I believe.

Looks like it is for O2 or something.

I used to have a 7100 on TMo
I take it that's where the Pearl concept came from.

Yes... the 7100 used SureType as well...

it was basically the predecessor to the Pearl. Hence the 7100 and 8100 series...

The pearl was the first BB to have a camera and was media friendly. But to answer your Q... yes, the Pearl is the successor to the 7100 series

I was dead set on getting the bold. Now I can't decide. :[
You know, I just wish that we COULD decide. Even if we chose to get both of them it doesn't really matter for much does it? I really hate being in the dark and there being nothing we can do about it. They dangle the carrot and we have no other option but to drool and wait...

    THANKS ALOT RIM!!!

For me the curve is almost the perfect size. If I BIS could wireless sync my calendar, task and contact I would be a happy camper. Hopefully BIS 2.5 will address some of that. If the Javlin is the curve II great, if it's not oh well I will have to be content.

Both look great to me! But since vzw is my carrier I will take what I can get from them for now and when I'm up for a new phone in the future. For now I'm very happy with my 8330!

It's the new Curve! It has to be... It's called the 9300... The original Curve was the 8300, now that we have moved into the 9000's we have the 9100 (KickStart, which resembles the pearl except it's a flip) the 9500, which is new, there's never been a x5xx model has there? 9300, Javelin, which strongly resembles the Curve. The Aurora so far is rumored to be the Pearl 2.

True That!! The Javelin looks sexier every day... I dunno if I will be able to resist when it is released. My Curve will feel deserted. Maybe I can give it to my GF. haha... or be selfish and keep it for a backup

I just heard a advertisement today on the radio for at&t and they clearly mentioned a Curve 2 while talking about their navigator.

I'm saying it looks like a waste of money, it is too similar to a curve to upgrade.
