So I had made up my mind that I was going to order the Jabra BT 8040 bluetooth headset. Then I started reading reviews on several sites. I found more than one which said there are known issues between the BT 8040 and Blackberry devices. Does anyone happen to own this bluetooth and a Curve that can verify this ?

    Thanks

I have the Jabra 8040 and I love it. I have a Curve 8310 and no problems at all.

I believe the BT8040 crackling issues were mostly with the 8100 Pearl.

Incidentally, they have released a newer but similar A2DP model (BT530) with noise cancellation. It's getting good reviews.

My wife and I have the 8040 with our curve 8330's and they work fine. No problems at all here.

BT8040 just arrived. Works fine so far with BB8830 WE and streams my music from my PC while I'm not on the phone. Could not be happier with the purchase ($12 on ebay for open box)

So far it's worked flawlessly. The one knock is that the volume is too low and the battery life is a bit shy if you are streaming music often (which I do)...

There are no issues with the headset and my 8830WE on Verizon.
