I've never used the iPhone but I bought Empower's SMSviewer for threaded texting. You also can change the background colors/fonts/etc. as well as a ton of emoticons to choose from. Even has templates you can choose from (out off office, vacation, etc.). You can find it on this site and they offer a trial so you can try it out, see if you like it (only lasts about a week). I think it's worth it! :)
The new OS has a different looking SMS screen may have been that?
Ah, yes...good call Chris! Since I have the 8330m and unable to do the 5.0 update, I don't know what the SMS looks like on that. :( I'm still praying that one pops up soon for us 8330m users!!!!
