So Apple has introduced the battery case for the iPhone 6/6S. It has a 1877 mAh, which makes it larger than the internal battery. I'm sure on Crackberry, many BlackBerry users have asked for an official battery pack for BlackBerry phones, especially for the Z10. Regardless of the ergonomics or the visual appeal, Apple will no doubt gloat about the first phone manufacturer to release an official battery pack. Why didn't BlackBerry do such thing? I wouldn't mind compromising Z10 thickness with a thicker official battery pack. It should've been offered as an option. What does everyone else think?

Waiting for the next high end full touch BB10!

We already have that option with numerous aftermarket battery manufacturers.

The Z10's extended battery is better since there is no charging involved between the extended battery and the original battery.
    - No loss in electricity while charging
    - No need to fit a charging mechanism, so more space for the actual battery.

Again, this is one of the reasons I prefer phones with removable batteries.

But going back to the original post, we already have extended batteries available for Q10 and Z10. And they work very well.

No need for an OEM extended battery (although it would be nice).

I hope for you thats true! But all kidding aside, if it adds value for the user, I say all the power to them! Just not something I need, fortunately, but I'm certain that there are many who can benefit.
