I was offered to trade my fully functional iPhone 3Gs for a Blackberry Torch 9860. Not sure what to do i have a Bold 9900, i really want a 9810. I dont play with the iPhone my kids do because its jailbroke.
I could you some opinions here, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
Go with the 9860 or told them that you want a 9810. Derp around a 9860 the other day and wonder if the phone was release in 09/08 rather than the Should-not-be-named series, would iphones and android would exist at all, at all. Great phone, way better than the 3GS( my class has two of these so I'm confident with my advise)

I upgraded from the 9800 to the 9810 and I like it a lot. I liked my 9800 but it was underpowered and the 9810 is definitely much better. I think the keys are a little bit flatter and this makes the keyboard also better.
The 9860 has everything the 9810 has. Coming from the iPhone you probably don't mind typing on the screen. The 9860 has a bigger screen and web browsing and watching videos is better :rolleyes:
Before you trade make sure the 9860 is running properly :eek:
It should be a 3G+ phone so it would run on the 4G network.

9860 is very nice you would be imho a good trade but, i really like the 9810 with its optional keyboard. All in all I don't think it's a bad choice since you're already used to the all touch which is actually very good on the 9860.
You should trade with the person IF you want a 9860, but don't do it if you want to keep the iPhone. That's the best advice I can give. Why would MY preferences influence what YOU want in a phone? Your kids may actually be affected by this decision, probably better to consult with them than with us.
9860 really feels GOOD in your hands, i dont know how to describe it, but its a feeling you absolutely HAVE to experience
Definitely go for it. I been using a 9850 and has been great.
the iphone 3Gs will lose support next year anyway. I would take the 9860 anytime.
Well if the only use for that 3gs now is games will they really enjoy the Torch 9860?
I mean its definitely a better phone, but you already have a 9900 so I am guessing you won't be really using it anyway as your primary device and it really, just because of lack of apps really, can't match the iPhone as a toy.
Seems to me you already have your answer.... why else come to a BB forum......
