Are you saying the Aristo will enter at a higher price point than the iphone or S3 (since both are flagship devices)? I think if a lot of the world can afford iphone or S3, then I think a lot of the world should be able to afford Aristo (this is coming from a guy from a third world country btw). According to IDC, smartphones is 50% of the worldwide market, and growing at 16.8% yearly. If RIM is supposed to beat Apple and Android at their game, then releasing Aristo gives them a good chance to do it, no?

No, we're not. RIM has already published the screen specs. They'd be slighting devs by changing it now.

i believe you. what reason do you have to lie for, the actual hardware might be final but the shell its cased in may be different either that or the battery door is and its a cosmetic upgrade that changes how the over all look is.

Now I'm confused - the device I saw looked like this
which is the same as the leaked images I've seen but the poster above reckons there are other images that suggest it is different again.

is the software the same as what we've seen in demos? did they say if they would get updates after the devices are fully launched?

Em.. I think so - it was literally a couple of minutes before we went into a meeting about something entirely different - didn't ask about updates. I'm there again next week so might try for a blurrycam shot.
