    Just installed new 2600mah battery in my 8830 get a battery with red slash through it on screen is this that battery is discharged or bad?

    Sounds like it might possible be bad or its rejecting the battery. not to sure on that one. Just call your service provider.

    That symbol means that the BlackBerry thinks it has a bad battery. The only fix is to swap the battery.

    You probably need to talk to the battery supplier.
