    Pardon the awkward title.

I've got my BB set up to receive call forwarding from 2 other numbers. When they forward a call to my BB, it shows up as the originating phone number, as I imagine it should. However, I'd like to be able to see the number they're dialing also. For instance:

    My BB number is: 111-1111
    Their phone number is: 222-2222
    Forwarded number #1 is: 333-3333
When the person at 222-2222 calls me at 333-3333, it forwards to 111-1111, and shows up on my phone as 222-2222.

This is great for the most part, but I'd like to be able to see something like:
    Incoming call

I'd like to be able to see that number because I need to answer the phone differently depending on which number they're calling. I'm on AT&T; does anyone know if they forward the relevant data onto my phone? That's the first question. If so, is there a setting I can change to make that number show up? Or perhaps an app? Or even a more eloquent way for me to phrase the question so I can ask an AT&T rep?

it sounds fairly straight forward to me....... you ant to see the number of the original caller, not the number of the device that is fowarding the call. Im not sure if its possible, but the way you put it seems straight forward enough.

i dont believe that will be possible, based on my knowledge of call forwarding. you phone distinguishes the incoming calls at the number is being placed from. so if they call from 222-2222 thats the number appearing. but if they forward the call from 222-2222 to 333-3333 your phone does not know that it is 222-2222 calling but knows its 333-3333 calling. i do not believe there is a way for you phone to break down the call and understand call forwarding is being used. it just doesnt work like that. if anyone has any other explanation or understanding i would like to hear it please as well. thanks

Well, a couple other threads on here seem to have had the opposite problem:

So I thought it might send the data along with it. Or perhaps that was a fluke and a network error?
