I am a Canadian and my family of 3 has 4 active BlackBerry phones, 2 Z30, 1 Q10 and 1 Passport. I guess people hide their phones in their pockets in the winter . I don't use it much in public.

i have a friend in Van who's bought 3 q10s cause she keeps losing them, so there's at least one q10 in use and 2 in the wild (probably grouse mountain).

and one of my aunts has a z30. my other aunt and cousins switched to android a few years ago. but everyone's still on BBM

I actually just saw a Q10 on the skytrain last Friday. There are certainly not a lot but I have seen at least one of every BB10 device outside of the Passport and Classic in Vancouver. Hoping to catch both of those at some point.

You must have just missed me. I've been rocking my Passport everywhere I go. Agreed there isn't much advertising for BlackBerry to be seen but we are out there. Before the Passport I had my Z30, Z10, Torch 9800, and Bold 9700.
If I ever have a really long skytrain ride, you might even see me bust out the old Playbook!

They're out here, if you look close enough you may even spot some old BBOS devices. But like a lot of places, the majority of mobile phones are iPhones and Androids of the Samsung variety.

It shows what kind of sophisticated users are all the canucks sporting BlackBerries... They are not annoying "speakerphone" users like some others, they will not ask "Siri this or that", they do not sport white obnoxious noise dissipating headphones . They are minority of well behaving and sophisticated users, who don;t use phones while walking, they so not text while crossing the street (or they are on vacation, not in Vancouver!). BB users are staging silent revolution and we feel special (at least I feel that way - as soon as BlackBerry become mainstream, I will move on and probably start using pigeons for my messaging :-{).. or ravens, like in GoT...For now proud BB Passport user (and not from Vancouver)

Was in Montreal a few weeks back, saw one classic and that was it! Quite disappointing but most of the shops displayed the new BlackBerry phones!
Saw a Z30 in singapore last week!
