i got my replacement a little over a week ago but i just started using it because i had to wait for a replacement invisible shield before using it...

ANYWAYS the replacement phone fixes the screen clicking problem which is why i requested a replacement device in the first place. but now the bottom piece, where the mic is, below the buttons is kind of loose, sometimes i use a silicon cover and when i do i dont notice it, but when i dont use the cover i notice it when i type it just wiggles a bit which is somewhat irritating.

so my real question is do you guys think i should ask for another replacement device. would this be a potential problem? or is there a way to fix it? i tried pressing on it to see if it would "click" into place, but that didnt seem to work.

i kind of dont want to get another replacement because i dont think zagg would send me another invisible shield for free... and it wasnt actually for free. i had to pay $5 for shipping. and a new full body invisible shield is like 25$ i believe. and it takes me an hour to put it on.

and that would mean i have to wait another week for the replacement device and the invisible shield, and deal with the stupid verizon techs who always want to troubleshoot the problem when its clearly a hardware issue.

also if this becomes a potential problem i definitely want to address it to verizon now while im still under the 30days or else if i pass the 30day warranty, i'll have to get a refurb for the replacement. and no one likes refurbs.

soooo.... a little advice would be great! thank you!

Did you buy the phone online and can't take it a to corporate store? I assume that because you say you would have to wait a week for another one. I honestly would swap it again. I wouldn't be a victim to them sending me faulty hardware. Now if you call Verizon and they keep taking you through troubleshooting, tell them straight up before you even tell them your problem that your software is WORKING FINE. They might even be able to put a note on your account that lets you go to a corporate store and swap it there.

actually i got the phone for free from verizon customer service. you see i had a htc phone and it was literally shocking me so as a bribe to NOT sue them they gave me the storm for free...

i wouldnt go into a verizon store because all the ones close to me, well their customer service reps are jerks, theyre always short staff so the wait in line is forever and its metered parking and i dont have enough quarters to wait in that line. haha

plus they never have any replacement devices.

one of my major concerns is my stupid invisble shield, im not sure if youre familar with that but its pretty much the coolest thing since sliced bread and i suggest you get one for your phone and all electronical devices, but one of the things with the invisible shield as with any other screen protector is that once you put it on a device and it sets, you cant really take it off and put it on a different device and i dont know if Zagg will be generous enough to let me get another free full body invisble shield.

I left Verizon for pretty much the reasons your giving. I wasn't gonna put up with their crap. Honestly if it was me and I wouldn't have to pay an ETF, I'd sell my Storm that I got for free, cancel my contract, and go somewhere else. Pretty much what I did when I went from Verizon to ATT.

Forgot to mention one other thing. When I left Verizon, I paid my last bill after cancellation. It was my last bill. Well, this year I go to buy a new truck, run my credit, and behold, Verizon sent me to collections for one dollar!! Yes, a dollar! Never, did I ever get a bill from them for a dollar that I owed. Was never notified after I paid what I thought was my last bill. I called the credit bureaus on got it taken off because honestly, who wouldn't pay a dollar that they owe? That's Verizon Wireless for ya...

i actually left cingular/at&t and went to verizon because of reception and coverage issues, but as far as their cell phone quality and customer satisfaction, well lets just say it does not even compare to cingular. i was with cingular for about 5 years and i never once had so many problems, i called them maybe once a year with a problem and they would immediately come up with a solution and my problem was completely solved.

with verizon i feel like its an ongoing struggle to ensure that i get a 100% working phone.

i dont know if its cuz im picky, or a perfectionist, maybe even OCD, or if Verizon just plain sucks, but it seems like im calling them entirely too much... and im just having really terrible luck with my phone. and maybe thats why im hesitant to call them now and address the problem

anyways thanks for the input i think what im going to do is go into the verizon store thats actually about 20mi away that has better service, address my problem and make sure they put notes about it in my account, and if the loose hardware does become a problem and i call it in after my 30 days i'll get a new phone, not a refurb and i guess i will just have to pay for a new invisible shield. actually verizon should pay for it, but thats a far-fetched idea.

i hate calling *611 all their techs are idiots, no matter how many times i tell them its a hardware issue, or how slowly i tell them, they just dont seem to understand, so maybe going into a store is a better idea.

this is frustrating, i wish they would have just sent me a 100% perfect replacement phone so i wouldnt have to deal with this nonsense week after week after week....

wow that is absolutely ridiculous. verizon is a joke... if it wasnt for their good coverage, i would have already gone back to cingular...

some say that the verizon OS that is loaded on most of their phones will cause a lot of trouble. i haven't had verizon so i am not sure if thats the reason or not but it is what some think.

most of my issues seem to be hardware issues... which is odd because i've had two different brand phones from verizon...

well i had an htc which ran on windows that shocked me... i dont know how that could be software related at all...

and now i have a storm that first had the screen click problem, and now a loose part on the device... which also has nothing to do with the OS

so you tell me if im sure its a hardware issue... i stated above that it was hardware related too if you read that...

I stated the problem was a loose part on the storm and i was not sure whether to get another replacement or not because i already put a new invisible shield on it....

i dont know why you would reply suggesting it has to do with the operating system...
