Would be helpful to know more about how you have everything set up and what exactly you are using.
Look into the desktop client Digsby...I've started using it and I know one friend of mine has a plug-in on his website that allows you to type in a message and he gets it via IM...never tried it or know what IM service it uses to notify but maybe its customizable.
Why would Yahoo, etc not come to your BB? Just curious.
many issues can cause this... for example it might not be supported on your webserver if the message isn't getting through.
Basically the BB clients will pick up any instant message that is sent the same as a computer so it seems unlikely that the settings are correct on the webserver/site
as a suggestion you might just want to setup a form on your site with required fields such as phone/email and have it either go to a email account that forwards to your BB or your BB email address?
