Obviously I would wait to see what the BB10 and Windows 8 phones will be like as they are not that long away. However, if you NEED it now, I'd get a Torch 9850/9860.
I am pretty happy with my 9900 already. I have one other from that list as well, but for me, nothing beats the keyboard and PB combo I get with my Bold.
I guess it comes down to functionality. Not to detract from the other devices listed, but I am a BB type of person and always will be. Looking forward to BB10, but I would like to see how the device looks and handles before I am ready to give up my current BB.
If the new Bold was not available then the Torch 9810. Otherwise I would just wait for BB10.
I've had an iphone and a droid before. I just like BlackBerry better and after seeing what Microsoft did with its monopoly power on the PC and many frustrating experiences with Microsoft integrating with others I would never get a windows device.
Right now, I'd consider the 9900, but the lack of a front facing camera is annoying since I do use that feature when I travel to talk to the wife and kids (just means I have to use the iPad). Otherwise it's the iPhone.
Down the line, I can't wait to see what BB10 has to offer, which is why I waiting until that comes out before upgrading. So in my future, it's either BB10 or iPhone 5, with a slight lean on BB10 at the moment (I'm hoping the PB2 comes out at the same time, then I could buy a killer combo).
The phone I have now I am extremely happy with. That would be the Bold 9900.
But if I didn't have the Bold 9900, my next choice would be the Torch 9810.
If I didn't have either of those QWERTY Blackberry 7 OS devices, I would go with the Motorola Droid 4, which has a really nice horizontal slider keyboard.
How of many of the "BB Nation" felt jilted when OS7 came out (because shortly after RIM leaked BB10) and didn't buy an OS7 phone? How many are "sitting" on their old BB and patiently waiting? IMHO, RIM NEEDS some damn good advertising now for BB10 and better be able to manufacture more than 5million handsets. I think "that damn phone" is going to be that damn good and there will be a shortage... before christmas. Sad to say, because I want one really bad
would like to see a mod make a poll on this. (old BB & waiting vs. OS7 & waiting) sorry to all if this was already made a poll.
...oh BB10 & BB10 w/ keyboard - I have to try the infamous BB keyboard

I am not "jilted" by RIM or any other company. If I need a phone, I buy one. I don't think about it when I'm not ready to buy a new phone at all. Thanks for the laugh!!
But the offerings from Android somewhat look pleasing. I've never been a big Android guy since it just seems too "all over the place" with it's UI. But if I did go Android route, I'd get a Evo 4G LTE (One X if I couldn't have Sprint) and an Acer Iconia A700 tablet to pair with it.
I'm crossing my fingers that BB comes out with a tablet this year or early next year w/ a 1080p 1920x1280 LED display, on a 7" screen (or even an 8").

I'm curious about what you mean by this since the UI can be pretty much ANYTHING depending on the manufacturer overlay, 3rd party launcher, various icons and widgets that you can arrange to your liking, etc.
