This will never happen. They are I two different market spaces. That's like hardly buying tesla. Sounds good but they don't target the same audience.

'Facebook Powered By BlackBerry'.... not a chance. I would be lost to which OS I would go to then. Pray that never happens.

If FB did ruin, I mean buy BlackBerry they wouldn't care about the current drop in the ocean BlackBerry owners because surely they'd get most of the rest from just the FB name in a short period of time afterwards.

They'd dictate what's cool and people would flock in their droves.

    I'd rather self-castrate .

I dont know if your doing this on purpose or you just seriously misread the message. @jorgerui obviously meant Facebook would get 76 Million people using 'Phones' sold by a company they now own, not just using facebook on their phones.

I think Facebook messenger feels more like a detached function of a social network (which it is obviously) than a dedicated IM app. Thats why Whatsapp is still doing great. I would almost always use Whatsapp on my phone before FB messenger. Most people on other platforms always contact me on whatspp first. This might be subjective but FB chat is no match for BBMs feel and usability. (and functions)

Agreed. FB home on BB would be a nightmare.!

FB has a lot of gain if they purchase BB but for BB it would be really sad!
BlackBerry couldn't convince 70 odd million users to upgrade to BlackBerry 10. I doubt Facebook will have any effect.
BlackBerry 10 has proven existing numbers mean squat

Extremely remote chance of that happening... Samsung would switch their devices to iOS first.

But should that actually happen, I would simply discontinue my cell service... buy a rocket hub, and use MagicJack.

Okay, but again, the number is actually 72M (not 76), and that was the number from last quarter; it's likely to be less now. But even more important, the only relevant number is number of BB10 users, which is realistically 3-4M. Legacy BB users can't run any kind of modern FB client, and clearly BB is only being able to convert a tiny percentage of the people leaving BBOS to BB10, so the legacy users are meaningless to FB. They can't be reliably delivered to BB10.

So, again, I don't see what FB would find attractive about this. Everytime FB has touched phones directly, it's been a disaster for FB and the phone manufacturer.

This would not happen. BlackBerry knows better. Facebook data mines just like Google, im sure they wouldn't wanna comprise our privacy any further than its been already. Besides, Facebook? Really? Lol I would leave BlackBerry and never look back.

    Z10? Why yes it is.

Do you see Facebook home running on BB10.2.xx? Combined with actionable toast? On Q10? That thing is really great & powerful! If Facebook buy/partner with blackberry that's thing be a really powerful challenger to google android and let ios far behind..

Absolutely not. I am one of those people that oddly is able to exist without having or ever having had a Facebook page and I would drop BlackBerry like a bad habit were Facebook to by them. I'd rather have a JitterBug than use anything owned by Facebook.
