If BlackBerry actually closed up shop after the 9900, BlackBerry would still have a better legacy than the one they have now.

Well that's hard to say, because we never know what can happen the next minute. So we can only assume that but at the same time we can be completely wrong. it's all a matter of preference really, I personally love the BB10 devices and the software! I think it's much more advanced in many ways than android and IOS, this is coming from a user of all OS platforms. I have a feeling that they have done a decent job with the BB10 and the devices. sure they may not have kept up specs wise or with the designs but then again that's all a matter of preference. however, I totally understand where you're coming from and what you're trying to say and I think that many think that way as well.

I like bb10 the best. Sure if BlackBerry would have ceased to exist after the bold, we'd have never had bb10.

But they'd be forever cemented in the minds of people.

Hard to say. This is all just an alternate world view anyway. It's hard to pinpoint the exact beginning of BlackBerry's decline, although from the book, I think it was when one founder said software and one said hardware.

But imagine BlackBerry exited when they were on top, like a pro athlete who retires after a championship.

We would all have those fond memories and not have to bicker about the grotesque situations BlackBerry is in now.

This pretend scenario also gives them a great opportunity to re launch devices years later like a "coming out of retirement" situation. Much like flip phones are doing now in Asia.

The majority of the population believe they did anyway. Bb10 phones are curiosities to most, everyone who sees mine says they thought blackberry disappeared years ago and how they loved their bold/curve etc.
