I haven't used BlackBerries for that long (my first being a curve 9360 in late 2011) but I've grown to love them as I'm sure many of you have. Although I now prefer my Q5 to the 9360, I'm sure you've all had a BlackBerry device in the past that is now obsolete but you cherished when it was up to date and 'relevant'. But sadly technology progresses at an insane pace so devices become obsolete rather quickly when compared to the past.

So what device (if it was possible), would you like BlackBerry to recreate or re-envision and add new features, software (other than OS 10.3.1) or hardware to it so that it is modernised and up to scratch with today's competitive business and technology sector?

Z30 with flagship level specs (esp screen upgrade), and maybeeeee slightly nicer build quality (pretty good as it was but passports stainless steel frame, gorilla glass 3, and soft touch back has spoiled me).

It's a tough situation for us blackberry alltouch fans: the company is sticking to innovative designs and features that give them some competitive difference in the market (i.e. Keyboard) so that they aren't just another cookie cutter glass-slab.

From a business standpoint I get that.... but I would still like a nice new all touch haha.

That being said I love my Passport: brilliant device!

It's hard to recreate a device without changing its character and pulling it into the norm of today. If it were possible to relaunch the 9700 with all the old feels of solidity, keyboard, quality, reliability and personality but add in a modern battery, processor, memory, storage with an up to date version of BBOS (BB08 or 09 perhaps) I'd ditch my Passport in a heartbeat!

Isn't that about the size of a key fob and having chicklet keys and a tiny screen. I guess that could be a Q .75.

I agree with the Mayor. I want an upgraded Z30. Better screen like passport, more device memory or the option to download apps to sd card. Would like it a bit lighter too but don't want cheap plastic and don't want thin or light at the cost of battery life.

Z30 is my first BlackBerry. I never used a pkb phone and don't think I ever will. Had iPhone before but prefer BB10 over IOS.

Either the original BlackBerry 850, my first full time use BlackBerry the Pearl 8110 or my all-time favourite BlackBerry the Bold 9000. Don't ask how, just make it so. lol

Curve 9300, I swapped a bold 9900 for it despite the total down grade that was, ironically because I felt the bold was too big as I type this on my passport. Loved the look of the curve it always looked classy and I liked the key click when typing fast.
My sister still has one and I look on it very fondly whenever I'm at hers, I remember the disappointment I felt when mine died and I put my iPhone 4 on the table because to me the curve looked the superior design and I already found I hated the virtual keypad but I hoped it would grow on me.

BlackBerry is doing just that with the slider and the Classic. The Leap is more of a direct replacement to the Zed than a modernization.
A Z30 with the horsepower to run Android apps like native would be most welcome.

I've been saying that. They can use the same Torch design, remove toolbelt, place BB logo below keyboard, add a 4" screen, and high end specs.

The Blackberry Style. Except. A little bit bigger, and dual touch screen. (you can turn the screen arounf to make it a full touch if want)

IDK I'd pay to have a decent flip smartphone. That wasn't extremly underspeced or cost $1,400
If BlackBerry was able to re-create any past device, and modernise it, which device would you want i-blackberry-style-images.jpg
