First of all, I have a Blackberry 8900 Curve, I am in the UK and use Vodafone as my network.

When I use browser, it uses GPRS despite the fact that I am connected to my wifi. I have searched online to try and find out how to make it so that the blackberry uses wifi as a default (if im connected) and then GPRS as a secondary means (if im not wifi connected).

I have not found the answer. Although it has been suggested to go via: Options --> Mobile Network --> Connection Preference. However, when going to Options --> Mobile Network --> there is no 'Connection Preference'.

Can someone please help me, as I pay money for GPRS usage, but as we all know the wifi is free to use.

    Many thanks in advance...

You need to change your browser default. Open your web browser, click Menu->Options, General Properties. Change the Default Browser to Wi-Fi/HotSpot Browser. If you have already set up bookmarks in your browser, edit each of them to use the Wi-Fi/HotSpot Browser instead of the previous default browser.
