I want a new browser
I recently switched back to my old Curve 8330 from the 8530 because the "new" Curve doesn't hold a charge. I'm fine with that, I'm going to wait until January and get the Torch from Sprint. But I would like the browser from the 8530. Is there a way to download a new browser on the 8330? Or is that not possible?

Why not troubleshoot why the new curve doesn't hold a charge for you rather than reverting back to the old one? Did you buy it new, because depending on when you got it, tthe battery may still be covered under warranty
I didn't think the Torch would be coming to CDMA carriers anytime soon. I didn't see anything in the rumors, and I'd think it would have gotten its' own forum.
Anyway, there is allegedly a version of OS5 for the 8330 but it is a bit resource intensive from what I hear. That's the plain 8330 only, not the 8330M.

If you want OS 5 for your 8330, I'd recommend checking into a hybrid. The device only has 96MB of memory, much of which will be used with OS 5, so you will not have much memory left for apps after installing.
Hybrids are much more lightweight in memory use.

Is there more than meets the eye - you wouldn't swap a phone because it doesn't hold a charge - namely because phones dont hold charges - batteries do and you could get a replacment for about 6
We'll have to assume you just dont like the 8530

Bolt works fine, it's a mobile cross-platform browser.

As a former 8330 user, I full heartedly endorse the use of hybrid OSes. I had the "official" Boost Mobile OS 5.0 on my device, it was ok but a little laggy. Once I went to a hybrid, it was almost like a completely different phone. It was great.
I miss my Curve... *tear* lol
Also as others have mentioned, you might want to try some troubleshooting(if you haven't already) solotuons for your 8530's battery problem. Because I never really heard any 85XX users having battery problems under normal circumstances.
Also, the Bolt browser blows away any BB browser not named Webkit.

I'm still waiting for the Mozilla Firefox mobile browser.
Also, it the Bolt browser a good browser? I'm quite fond of the Opera Mini that I'm currently using - I'm typing this post using the Opera browser.
