I think in Colombia you should get the STL100-1 which has no LTE/4G

I just know of the variants STL100-1, STL100-2, STL100-3 and STL100-4 but I don't know of any international variant but it could be the first who knows

Check with your mobile carrier which variant they support. You have to buy what they support in case if you want to get updates OTA

CarlosM, can you look up any phone on your carrier website, to tell us what bands work for the carrier?

Personally I wouldn't pay for this ph.

But, they're reasonably cheap at the moment.

The model comparison chart in the Wikipedia entry for the Z10 should help you decide which model is best for Colombia:

BlackBerry Z10 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I just took a closer look at the chart and it says the STL100-1 is the model used in Columbia. I would avoid buying that model as it is a bit of an orphan in that it has a different processor from the other models of Z10 and all other BB's Q's, Z30s. This is especially relevant when it comes to OS upgrades if you are going to participate in the leaked OS community where you frequently see leaks for all except the -1. Also I am not sure you would be able to find a -1 in the U.S. because no carrier uses it.

The key element AFAIK is the bands it operates on. The -1 uses Quad-Band HSPA+ 1, 2, 5/6, 8 (850/900/1900/2100 MHz). There are two variants of the -3 and they have most of the bands that the -1 has. I suspect that (and maybe someone more knowledgeable can confirm or deny) that either of those two variants would serve your purpose.

I would also stay away from the -4 as that seems to be a Verizon only phone because they use CDMA still.

    Hope this helps.
