BlackBerry - BlackBerry Device Software

good find, but did it show up on AT&T site?
Testing with an 8320 in progress
The process begins with a download of ApploaderWebSL-Upgrade.msi, a 25.8 Mb package.
Running it resulted some activity followed by a prompt to restart the computer.
After a restart, there were not changes noted in the .../shared directory, but there is a new vendor.xml 9/13 in .../apploader.
Running it a second time started BlackBerry Desktop Manager's Application Loader. After digesting the contents, it reported back "Your BlackBerry device is running the latest software" and prompted me to sign on to receive notification of future updates.
That makes sense, of course I am already running the latest software. :D
To continue testing, I will have to roll back to v4.2xx.
When it is ready, this will be simpler then a separate OS download and install, a bit. The restart also gives an opportunity to run CrackMem. :D
It showed up on the Blackberry support site.
this didn't work for me... just ran the application loader and told me i was already running the most current software. (i'm still on 4.2.xxx.)
What revision is it?
RATS!!! it's gone for now... "Upgrade" button is gone...
A bit premature, perhaps...
oops, it's back again...
Damn ActiveX controller...
Do you think it is worth me getting an unlocked Bold now or would you recommend that I wait for AT&T. I am currently with AT&T and enjoy their service but they are being very vague when discussing when they are releasing the new Bold.
Not quite ready yet...
Nerts... thought I had the scoop... But I guess that's a start that RIM changed SOMETHING and is getting ready.
Yeah, it is still not working. Reed McLay is on the case however.
