So I'm able to upgrade in about 2 weeks from my Verizon Pearl - what phone should I get? I can't wait to get rid of this dinosaur of a phone. Im torn between Storm2, Tour, Curve, or possibly the Droid. I also was thinking of the Pre if it ever comes to Verizon. Any suggestions?

All good choices. The choice of a device is very much a personal decision. What works for one may not work for someone else. Some prefer a touch screen while others like a physical qwerty key board. Set aside some time and go to your local store and play with the available phones. Go with what feels right for you. Don't buy one based on "coolness".

Go for the tour if you type a lot.
Go for storm2 if you prefer wider screen.
    Curve is so last century.
Droid is more hype than substance.

I voted Tour, but I type a lot,

If you want to watch movies the Storm 2 would be better.

I don't know if Vzw is getting the 9700 like Bell Canada is, if they are I'd get that phone over the tour.

Go with the Tour if you are going to type a lot.

The Storm 2 is good if you want a bigger screen.

Don't forget the Curve2 8530, just got released, good option if you want wifi, and the extra mem.

I'm really liking the size of the Storm2 - especially being used to the small screen of the Pearl

Sorry-- I love Blackberries but I went and played with the Droid and that thing is absolutely sick. If you have never been used to a Blackberry then I would probably go with the Droid. HOWEVER, as someone who is attached to their BBM now I would probably never switch from a BB.

Another bonus of the S2 is the portrait keyboard (selectable between full qwerty & multitap also) defaults to suretype which you already know. Plus you get the extra RAM & Wifi.

I'm for the tour, and to the guy who decided to comment about the trackball issues, well, yes, it had trackball issues but still seemed to b this popular, so that should tell u something. But honestly it depends on whether u want touch screen or not. The storm 2 is awesome, but if u need a physical keyboard then u will not b happy with it. I would suggest choosing one and playing with it for a week, if u don't like it then u have 30 days to switch, simple as that.

I honestly would suggest you go to the store an mess around with the phones and see which one will be a better fit for your needs.

Just left verizon and played with all the toys. The storm 2 was pretty nice, if u like a blackberry and want a touchscreen then its the best bet for you, but if u nee a physical keyboard then no. The droid had a great browser but that's all it really had going for it, its keyboard was horrid. The curve 2 was not too bad, the screen resolution is mediocre and the trackpad would take some getting used to. After reviewing the devices I've come to the conclusion that the Tour is still the best phone, at least for me. If I wanted touch screen tho, I would choose the new storm.
