are Meego's icons really that bad looking?

I recently finished the theme for 480x360 models, and posted some screenshots on a Chinese blackberry forum, got a lot negative reviews, they all hate the icons of meego. I don't know what should I do now,move on to another design, or keep it and finish the work for other models.

Frankly speaking, I have been staring at these icons for more than 2 weeks ,I've been with them for too long to tell if it's bad or good looking. I could really use a third eye ,tell me your opinions,please.

thanks, the golden ones are default folders, it may looks better after users rearrange themself.
