Hello all,
This may be a strange question but I really need some assistance figuring out something with a text I received. I can't really discuss why I'm asking but I want to make sure I am correct before I address this issue with someone

the text history was something like this:
(sender) "I'm headed to a meeting in case you can't get in touch with me"
(my response) "okay love you"
(sender) "love you too" and then right beside where they said "love you too" there was a telephone number so it looked something like this: "love you too xxx-xxx-xxxx"

I am trying to figure out why a linked number was rght beside the text they responded to me (not the sender's number or mine). I tried different things to text or forward to myself to figure out why this particular person's number was attached to a message that was sent to me...but no luck.

If someone texts you a 10 digit phone number the phone automatically creates
it as a link to make a quick phone call.

This might sound a little off the wall but, did you ask her?

it was a 3rd party number. someone we both know...someone who he works with

I'm planning on asking him. I just wanted to figure this out before I did lol. The reason I was concerned was because this number is an opposite sex friend's who he is close to...that's why it was a bit unnerving to me.

He definetly texted that number even if it was a mistake. But that's the best
answer you're going to get on here. Hopefully the trolls don't make their way
to this thread and start pondering.

Better to just ask him why.
