Blend mirrors the device. The computer only gets the information from the BlackBerry. Once again, I wouldn't want to have to apologize to business clients because I missed important emails. Due to things such as theft of my device, loss, damage, or dead battery.

Important emails you could save to device (an awesome BBOS feature) which will then get backed up and could always be restored from the last back up.
Have you tested saving emails, backing up the device, wiping, then restoring? Not saying it doesn't work. But would like to see that tested

Of course it worked.
You can actually view the emails from PC if you use a password for it. I remember there is an option for it but I did not take it because my household only had a 4 years old laptop with subpar Internet connection
