I'll take things that never happened for $500, Alex.

Perhaps the OP can walk us through what happened to the phone. Maybe there is some solution someone could provide. A detailed walk through might help. Perhaps there something that was done to the phone that voided the warranty but might be fixed here. Just saying, before you give up, let us see if we can help.

Does it flash red led?

My Z10 bricked itself 2 weeks ago tonight. It went back to BlackBerry for analysis and I have a brand new one winging its way to me as I type this. The major difference is that I bought mine through regular retail channels with a full warranty.
What info do you want? Hmm....I've frequented this website daily since I first got my phone and never seen a group that has drank the cool aid quite like this.
First BlackBerry I've owned and it died after three weeks. Kaput! Dead! Spent hours on the phone with rim and Rogers......nada! I'm on my own! Make sure you have a warranty. I didn't worry about it because of the two iPhones and three galaxy (infuse, s2,s3) I've never had a phone die....
Dint get me wrong....i loved the z10....it's just dead. if you think I'm bsing you, then please trade your z10 for mine!
I had a bestbuy warranty

When you turn it on what does it do? Have you left it on a charger for at least 24hrs? Have you tested another battery? Did you try to install a leak? Tell us what happened, and we may be able to fix it

Well, I suppose now's a good time to bid you goodbye. I have children to protect you know, don't want them to follow your examples

Akan 510...thanks
The phone was working fine this morning. It was plugged into the BlackBerry charger and I went back to it and it was dead as a door nail. Absolutely dead. The phone hadn't moved. I tried a different battery from another z10 and nothing.
I bought it off a Rogers employee who was really nice and had won it instore..she met me on her break from the store.. the wrapping was still on the battery and it comes up "Rogers " when booted up (or used to)
How did you buy it without any warranty?
EDIT: Posted before I saw you bought it off a private seller. That stinks.
Ah that stinks man. Sounds like a dead motherboard problem like some 9900's had. Any chance you can get it replaced maybe?
My cousin bought a brand new inbox S3 geniune and all. Died within 1 week of use just like this Z10. Plugged in, but wouldn't do anything. Samsung nor Digicel (the carrier) would replace it because it was bought from a private seller
does it give red led when you try to boot the device or no?

Major props to you for trying and trying to help. (y)

Kris keeps asking you for details regarding the led and such, he is more than willing to help but your not answering him. If I had a dead device and someone was willing to help I'd talk to them. Also Kris is probably the right guy to talk to.
I still don't get it. Even if you bought it off a Rogers employee or whoever.. it should still have a serial number. I've had an issue with a Playbook where it died and when I contacted RIM under warranty, I only had to provide them a serial number.. no receipt.. nothing else. Once they looked it up and determined that the date of manufacture was within the warranty period.. that was it.. it was repaired for free.
Not understanding this one.. especially since you claimed it die in 3 weeks. Was that 3 weeks after the warranty period or before? Just kidding .. the z10's haven't been out for a year yet.. so this should be a no brainer for Blackberry.. what reason did Rogers or Blackberry tell you that it couldn't be reparied under warranty?
Nothing...no light...zilch...
I loved the phone, but don't know if I want to risk another..
any ideas??
Rogers insists that it has no warranty as it was a "gift" to an employee.
BlackBerry shows the pin as belonging to a Rogers phone and says I must deal with Rogers. I assumed that a new Rogers phone would be backed by someone.
OP, I believe that you should still have manufacturer warranty. After all the phone is only 3 weeks old. You should be still be able to either get it fixed or replaced as long as you did not personally damage it
