    It's a BB Bold.

I have an email account that I can't delete for whatever reason. I've deleted all my accounts on the BB site, and when I go to mail setup it's acting like I'm just getting started.

What gives? How do I get rid of this email? I've searched on here and couldn't find anything.

    Thanks.

Do you have a service book for that email address listed? Options - Advanced Options - Service book

I actually have two. Thanks for the help. I'm a new BB user. What do I do with them?

delete them....then do a battery pull and all should be well....pull the battery out while the phone is on and leave it out for 30 seconds after you delete the service books for that specific email address

How do you delete the service books? You can't delete them on the device itself and there isn't an option on the BIS site.

You can delete them on the device. When listing the service books, press the Blackberry button and select Delete. If the Delete option is not available, then you'll have to wait for someone else to chime in.

The delete option was not originally available. I plugged the BB into the computer, and used the manager to clear the service books, whatever that does... There were only five items in that category even though I probably have at least 15-20 service books. Regardless, it did get rid of the email account and left all the other service books on there. The option to delete the service books on the device is now available. Something must have gotten corrupted.

From there I went and re-set up the emails on the BIS. All is well in the universe now.

I had a ton of issues getting gmail and filters to work properly.

For those other newbs that may be having the same problem:

Check your PIN on the BIS and make sure it's correct. Mine was wrong and the filters wouldn't work...

Go into your gmail settings. Disable POP and enable imap. Don't run them both.

Setup the filter so that it will block any replies from your email address. Keeps those duplicate sent gmail emails at bay.

    And that's about it.

I still find the push mail flawed in the sense that I can read them on the BB, but when I open desktop gmail they're all still there, unopened.
