Hi guys, I know there is a thread specifically for those of us who just got a Q10 but I felt the need to make my own thread because of the great deal I got so please don't be upset. I had been searching for Q10's on Ebay for quite some time because I'm not eligible for an upgrade with Sprint until August 2014. My Bold 9930 still works fairly well but it was time for a new phone. Long story short, I got on Ebay to search one last time for the day and I stumbled upon a brand new Q10, still in the box for the amazing 'buy it now' price of $265. I got up to find my wallet so fast that I knocked over my lamp which, as a result, knocked over my drink but I didn't care. The important thing was that I found a Q10, off contract for $265, right?

I know the feeling when you get a phone at a great price on ebay. I paid around 200 bucks for my new 9900, which was a great price at the time lol.

That's a great deal!! I did the same for Verizon, as I am still under the unlimited plan and didn't want to lose that, so I had to purchase my Q10 out right or off of eBay.

I have a question and it's probably a dumb one, but how do these sales on eBay factor into the sales for BBRY? Since these phones were already purchased (some how), how it is that BBRY isn't benefiting from it or seeing better numbers?

I have also been looking on eBay for a backup phone, either another Q10 or a Z10 or waiting for the Z30, but the prices are pretty reasonable in the $300-400 range.

That's a good question but I don't think it Ebay sales factor into it because it's after the fact. Like you said they were already purchased from a retail store so I assume that would be the initial point of sale. But continue to look on ebay because I'm starting to see them for cheap. More often than not it's someone who doesn't know the value of the device so they are trying to just get rid of it. Good luck with your search.

It's not another sale; it doesn't increase the amount of product that BBRY is moving. Assuming it's a regular consumer device, no matter how many times private parties sell it, it only counts as a single sale for BBRY.
