    By uninstalling it.

Wouldn't it be in the HUB, you would've to leave it open in an Active Frame all the time to still receive messages.

    In other words: you can't.

Actually in the HUB, press overflow menu and settings and go to hub management. Take what's app off and it won't show anymore

It's just one the many flaws.. sorry, I mean features of BB10. They did not consider the idea that maybe people want access to various messaging but not have it all forced into the hub.

In OS7, they had the wisdom in the Messages app that you could leave out certain email accounts. I used this religiously because I have multiple email accounts for personal (2), business (4) and family (2). In OS7, i'd have the email account grouped accordingly while letting Messages only deal with my own personal accounts.

The hub is nice but a definite sideway step from the common sense that OS7 provided. There are multiple threads in the Features Request section of the BlackBerry beta zone forums that would like to address the hub's obvious limitations. Hopefully, if Blackberry isn't paying attention to Crackberry forums, they're at least paying attention to their own.

I would like to BlackBerry combine the two concepts into a multiple hub set up such that you can still have the hub but the individual accounts can at least be grouped AND disassociated with the hub as an option. If people want 1 big hub for everything, let that be their decision. If I want a multiple hub solution, which I actually need, then let me choose that option. If someone else wants it all separated, let that be their option.

But, the way it is now is clearly limiting for a lot of people. Forums here and other sites point to that reality.

This is one of my biggest complaints about BlackBerry 10. They just don't give us the same amount of control as we used to have and it really stinks. Like both of my BlackBerry 10 devices have always been and always will be used on Wi-Fi only with no SIM card installed. That means neither of my BB10 devices can use SMS, yet I still have to see SMS in the hub. Older BlackBerry operating systems allowed us to remove SMS and other things from the Hub/Messages app. Hopefully they address it soon, not having basic control over the Hub like that is annoying.

Honestly speaking though, I just wish they would give us the option to add individual icons for each of our email accounts to the home screen like all other BlackBerry smartphone operating systems had. IF that were to happen, I don't think I would bother with using either the Hub or peak again.

    Well.....I don't understand.

You can control what's going into the main HUB like you could do it with BB7. Anything else....I don't know why I wouldn't want, let's say WhatsApp, in the sidemenu of the HUB. In my opinion it would make the whole experience inconsistent and fragmented. And where would new WhatsApp messages pop up? Under "Notifications" again? That'd be just odd.

    I don't know about you but I'm on Z10STL100-3/10.2.0.1047

And I can turn everything in the hub on and off... don't jump to early down BlackBerry's throat

Turning that off doesn't remove the things from the hub list view. For example, turn off "Text Messages" and it still shows up along with all of your other accounts in the list.

See in my screen shot? The list still shows everything no matter if it is on or off. Which Text and BBM is off. Ideally, there should be a way to remove the accounts from hub completely. The older OS let us do that.

The hub is not as good as people like to think due to its limited nature. When we can choose what shows in the hub and what doesn't that's when it will start to realise its potential
