The Toronto Star sucks and are usually very biased towards anything Samsung, but this time they heard something. But what I think they mistook for a sign of life may have really been a distant roar. Looks like BlackBerry got through to some of them yesterday.

Chen would not punch anyone in the mouth. He is the calm yet forceful ti-kwon-do type delivering surgical strikes.

What did they hear? Probably a PING!!!

... from the resurrected Bold+BB10, aka the Classic.

On a serious side, how can they portrait a company as dead in the cartoon, that's still there, in fact never really left the scene... ?

    Isn't that kinda libelous?

Not sure what you mean. Cartoons are satire. Cartoons are meant to be funny.

    Sure.

But for those that really followed any sensible BBRY reporting and held on to their phones, BBRY was never dead. "BBRY dead" became kind of a mass media myth and half-truth spread among common folk, due to too much doomsayery and people's focus on the iPhone...

Maybe a life-support ICU scene would have been a better fit, just sayin'...

Anyway, I'm still grateful someone posted it here, thanks!

You guys are seeing this the wrong way. It's meant to be positive towards BB being that many thought they were dead but there is now a faint heartbeat. I fail to see any negativity here at all.

It's funny. I don't care that they are showing BlackBerry in a coffin when it really should be a hospital bed. It doesn't bother me, but it is interesting to see a cartoon perspective of those on the other side. BlackBerry is making noise and some are starting to notice. There is nothing wrong with that. I want to see this perspective change for the better and BlackBerry needs to make more noise in the right places. This is a Toronto Star editorial cartoon. Did we not see earlier that BlackBerry has a good hold on the Toronto mobile sales already? Let's see if they can get them to listen in more important markets.
