I have no service where I live, so I have wifi at home thru my cable company, I just got the Blackberry 8900, it says wifi is connected, but when I attempt to go to browser or text or anything related, it says no data communication available in your area. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong, I am limited in my knowledge and I had AT & T check and they said wifi is enabled, please help me. Thanks

ya open the browser again and go to options........general settings and change your browser from ??? to internet explorer.......check the rest of your settings...its a common problem but an easy fix.....don't panic....sorry it took me so long to reply cant believe nobody got to you first.........anyway start with playing with the browser setting first lemme know!!!

Under Mobile Network Options, do you have "wi-fi preferred" checked?

I have the same problem as well, and what i usually do is turn off all my connections then restore them and everything starts working fine. It's annoying but luckily doesn't happpen often.
