I am aware that the little bullseye (white ring with a cross through it) is the symbol for GPS 'on,' but when I go in to Advanced Options>GPS to turn it off, I am presented with only two options - ON and OFF. I find no emergency 911 settings. I am using OS 4.5 on a 8330. The symbol appeared the other day, and I cannot seem to find how to get it off my screen. Am I trying to make a change from the wrong area? Thank you in advance for the help.
I go in to OPTIONS>Advanced Options>GPS>. Then my choices are 'Location Off,' and 'Location On.' Is there some other way I should be addressing this? Another route? Thank you.
I don't understand what is wrong, mine doesn't say Location off. Just only options is Location On/911! That is what I know should always say for 8330's! Even with the option 911 on, the GPS bullseye icon will always be present on your screen.

I have version 4.5.0.89. It runs great, and I have no problems. But there is definitely not a '911 only option. Just 'Location On,' and 'Location Off.'
OK, thanks so much. You are very helpful. Now . . . can I ask for a little more help? Once I download this new Alltel OS to my computer, what is the procedure to get it to my phone? Step-by-step, what do I do? Should I have the phone already hooked up to the computer? I appreciate the Crackberry help, guys.
