well i was just carious on what people think on this new verizon device, not so new but new HTC phone! its looks sweet, im thinkin of getting it!, but i have the storm on Os. 5.0.0.230, and i love it!! but is it worth it. so far yes.. but i dont know.. and im gettting the storm 2, just dont really know when it will be out!! It does look nice, but if I am to buy another phone I am going to wait for the HTC Hero for VZM that is suppose to be coming out. I want an Android phone. I've never used or heard about windows mobile so I don't know exactly how it is, but the phone does look nice.
Why is this thread even here? For one it's not a rumored device because it's released online already and two what does this have to do with Blackberry's?
Ushneb, its there cuz it didnt come out in mid west tell yesterday morning.. and i put it up there before that!! and please keep yourself indulged idea's but post to yourself, no one is complaining.. and i know its not bout blackberry's... key word's "other Device's"
Thought I would chime in. I have been using the Imagio for about two days now and have switched from my storm 9530. I have got to say it is a pretty nice device. There are some good improvements with windows 6.5. So far I am verry happy. That being said, It is not a blackberry and is a different user experience. The lack of push email is a big one for me as I am not on an exchange server and have to set my phone to sync with my email server every 15 minutes. The battery is life is awesome (so far). the screen is bright and very responsive. The touch flo interface works really well and has some nice customizable features. The keyboard works surprisingly well and to be honest I think I like it better than the keyboard on the storm. All in all i feel it was a good move for me as I was becoming increasingly more frustrated with my storm's performance. I am excited for the storm 2 and cant wait to see how it stacks up. If anyone would like anymore inf I am happy to answer any questions. And by the way I still love my storm!
I just got back actually from first, posting a post in another thread about this thing, then actually going down the Verizon store and testing this thing out and MAN! This thing is simply an IPhone, Storm and Storm2 killer. I messed around with it for a good half hour. Could not put it down. I then went and tried a Storm just for giggles and lol...well, lets just say with Verizon coming out with the Hero, another Android based phone plus this Imagio...I have to say it is going to simply put either a fire under RIM's *** or put a nail in their coffin.
I'd say the way rim has been on fixing these os problems,it's going to be a nail.I got my eye on the Htc an the omnia2 when it comes out.Then bye-bye storm(I think it should have been called Drizzle instead of storm)
Have you figured out how to load the new weather animation?
Not sure if you were asking me, but the weather animations are already loaded and the weather app is awesone. Best i have seen. When it is raining, raindrops will appear to hit the screen. When there are too many an windshield wiper appears and wies them away. Weather is also integrated in to the calander so I can see the forcast for the day I am looking at. It is pretty cool.

The weather is great that comes standard with the HTC Imagio but if you watch the videos on the HD2 you will notice that the weather on the homescreen is anitmated at all times. It will look like its raining on the homescreen or snowing etc.. Papped said he had it running on his phone and was wondering if anyone knew where and how to load it onto the Imagio
Nice phone but for me the fact that it runs on WINMO is a complete and utter fail...just a shame that its such a nice phone though...HTC make some stunning phones but using winmo is just silly imo.
HTC Hero is a great phone..we have had it here for a fgew mths and its nice...my friend has one and i quite like it but cant see myself leaving blackberry for anything right now.
