I'm still running 4.2.0.102 as my OS - how do I upgrade to the latest official release?
I went on my carrier's website but they don't seem to have anything to do with BB apart from an e-mail setup.
Any ideas?

You could also go to BlackBerry.com and upgrade via web based upgrade.

What's your device, your profile says 8900, but there is no way you are running 4.2 software on an 8900. ;)
A search can go a long way. This is also in the BB 101 Lecture Series. If you have not read it yet I would highly recommend you do so as well as check out the How To Use Search Thread for some detailed instructions on how to optimize your search and get the information you need/looking for. Happy Learning!
Thanks all.
Turns out I have version 4.6.1.206 which is the current official version
LOL! I saw curve and missed the "8900"! Why/how did you think you had 4.2 on such a new device? Not to mention the 2 OS's look nothing alike?
It's my first BB so I don't know the difference between the OS's.
I said I had 4.2 cos I read out the Platform version it seems :)
Gotcha! Yeah that happens sometimes. Welcome to the addiction and to CB! Like i said read through the BB 101, it is a wealth of information for noobs and veterans alike. Learning and tinkering with your BB is the most fun.
I was going to say the same thing!
