I figured this is probably generic to all the phones, but feel free to move me to the Curve forum if it's not. I'm using an 8310 Curve.
Anybody know how I can silence the beeps when I'm dialing a phone number? I already set Key Tone to "Off" under Options > Screen/keyboard, to no avail, and it doesn't matter which profile I set to active. I would think that at the very least, the vibrate and silent profiles should have beeping keys.
I have been wondering how to do this on my 8330 curve. Setting the key tone to mute does not do the trick. The only way it won't make a sound when I dial is having my profile set to vibrate or silent.

Here is a thread that describes another technique that seems to work for some phone / OS combinations. It does not work for my Verizon 8830, so I can't verify it. http://forums.crackberry.com/f52/mut...dialing-53875/
