If i put a new phone contact into my bold 9700 it automatically comes up on my bt yahoo email contact list. Is there any way to stop this???

Turn off contact sync in your BIS set up. If you log in you should see the option to sync your contacts when you set up or ammend your email. If you turn this off then your contacts will be kept separate
