Didn't see this any place and wanted to see if how much file free space was more then normal.

    39399288 Bytes

    BlackBerry 8100
    v4.2.1.107 (Platform 2.3.0.83)

I don't think I have ever read anyone with that much free and still have a few apps installed, but thanks to all the great info on this site and only having this for 3 months I think I have mastered the BB lol

So people how much free file space do you have??

MacG Sounds like your more worried about having free space than maximizing your BB's potential and loading it up with some great apps. I have a lot of 3rd party apps and I run between 23-24 MB's.

Also, sprint and verizon Curve users should have the most as well. Those are the only two devices that come with 96 MB's. All others come with 64MB.

I can't figure out why, but I have only 17 to 7 MB. I only have Googlemaps and Opera installed, and all my pics are stored on my memory card.

Out of all the software that I want installed I think I want one or two more but they are small like colorpearl. Before my downgrade I had the same apps but 10 15 less free space.

You see this the most with car stuff -- replaced OEM ignition with a Mallory, etc.

    EDIT: I'm slow! Thanks AG.

NOTE : This thread should be disregarded by all CDMA members!! We do not need to hear about all of your file free!! And we do not need it rubbed in that us GSM users have only 64Mb on-board memory to start off with!!

Either way, macgyver... that is a great file free!! I am not sure how to achieved that, but I assume the functionality of your device dropped a lot

I sit at about 29Mb or 29.5Mb free... and that will drop once I load some more ish onto my device. I just wanted to do a base install after my last Beta upgrade and see if I could hit around 30Mb free

Memory seems to be talked about a lot here. How come everyone doesn't just get the 8 Gig card, I think it was about $70. Doesn't seem like a big expense for someone who can afford a BB to begin with. Does it?
