I use mine a fair bit {e-mail, bbm, browser}. Up until today the most I've ever gone over was 12mb, I just received my most recent statement for 16mb.

Not a lot. I literally burn through 50mb in a couple of hours.
My normal per month usage is about 4.5 (avg) without tethering
    or streaming .

50mb isn't much. With about 50 emails/day, lots of YM, a few bbm and some browsing I use at least 200 mb/mth. My average is between 500mb-1Gb. Is there an option to increase ur cap? Maybe u can try your current cap for a couple of months and see if it's enough.

Most of my browsing is WiFi. The remainder approaches 50megs without doing very much. The net eats up data.

Honestly, no. I get tons of email from work, I use BBM a lot, Yahoo IM and
a few other data intensive apps. I rarely use the browser as I always have
    my laptop.

But yes, the 4.5gb is accurate.

i use about 35 - 40mb a month with about 15 emails a day and facebook about 3 times a day. i use the browser about twice a week but no more than that and i might download an odd app now and again and it all goes over the carrier but apart from that i dont use it that much.

so yer, its easy to keep it under 50mb if your just facebooking and emailing

With Pandora, I can blast through over 100mb in a day's work. Last month I got to about 700 mb just playing with my phone mostly.

I wouldn't be surprised if just by email push and bbm alone you'd hit that cap. When I had a dumbphone I regularly hit over 150mb a month.

I used under 50 a month. Usually right around the 40 range. I check the weather and use the facebook website a couple times a day. Sometimes I go on Youtube and such. I don't really see myself as a heavy user and get less than a dozen actual emails a day. So I don't really use too much because I don't stream or anything. Though, I do use WiFi quite a bit, so if I were to always use EDGE it would probably go over 50mb a month.

For assurance purposes, how much could an unlimited plan really cost you over the 50mb plan? Or atleast the next higher up?

Im on orange pay as you go in the uk. Dont really wanna go down the contract route to be honest. Hmmmm i would only be sending text via bbm not pics or videos. Can you answer me a question. Is it right for facebook to update your events automatically even tho you have closed the app on the blackberry???? Cos i turned my phone on this evening and had a event invite or something like it pop up on the screen imideatly.

    Thanks guys

I can use 50mb in one day. If you're not doing anything data intensive then I wouldn't worry.

I use my Bold what I consider to be a lot, and the most I've used in a month (with a 500MB/month plan because Rogers offers a 4MB as the next cheapest option) was about 100MB. And I use BBM a lot, Google Maps, the browser, and have two personal email accounts and a work email account on my BB (all via BIS).

I used to never go over 70mb and now average close to 1gb. Just starting to really get the most out of my BB.

IMO 0.5 gigs would be good enough for all the uses.

I'm pretty sure I go through about a thousand a month but I'm a very heavy browser and Pandora listener. It may be more that's just a rough estimate.

50mb is like 4 songs, or like 5 high res pictures or, a small youtube clip downloaded in hd. I would eat through that in like ten minutes.
