    Hi Everybody,

Even though I have become a BBerian I still feel the need to have one additional phone. Is it just me or is this pretty much a normal trend ?
I am an Insurance Agent and my BB Curve is used as my secondary business line when I am away from my office. I give that number to my clients and the insurance carriers that I do business with. But, I also feel that I need a second phone with a separate and different telephone number that I can use for calls to and from "friends and family members".
{Now b/4 becoming a BBerian, I had a Nextel phone with two lines and two separate phone numbers on one phone - which was very very convenient and economical. The two lines shared a pool of 5000 minutes and everything was lovely. When a call came in I knew it was either a business call or a personal call simply by the ring tone that I heard. Plus, if it was after hours or a weekend or holiday, I could basically cut the business line off and make myself unavailable or unreachable if I really needed to get away from the business world and spend some quality time with my kids and family members. But now, I don't have that luxury anymore b/c BBs do not accomodate two lines. (Hopefully they will incorporate this feature in future development).} Soooo...now I feel that I need to have and carry two different phones. Although I'm not sure how I will look with two phones hanging on my hip ??? but I'm not sure how else to get around this ???

    So...the question is:

    1) How many phones do you have and carry ?
    2) What phones do you have and carry ? {name the model and carrier}
    3) Why do you have that number of phones ?

Feel free to share a pic of "all" of your beloved gadgets.

i only have one and that is all i need. i dont mind giving my number to my accounts that i work with and they only call when they really need to get a hold of me. i think i would get confused with 2 phones

however...i do know a LOT of people that carry two phones. mostly because their berry is for work and then they have a non berry personal phone.

BB 8330 Curve on Sprint for my personal phone; BB 8800 for my business phone; and a Razr V9M for 2nd line, PAM, and when I don't want to carry my BlackBerry like when on the small boat or at a football game. Use GrandCentral so I will always receive my calls.

Nice Poll. I carry one for work and one for personal. Both BB but not allowed to use business for personal. So personal one sits at my desk and the business one is in my pocket. That sucks.

I only carry one my curve on a regular basis. I do have a Razr on standby I switch my sim card into and carry when I am in situations where blackberry might get damaged, such as trip to the beach or personal projects. But now that you can insure the curve that might change. I go crazy when I am without it for to long.

I carry two phones. One is my old LG V from Verizon and the other is my 8130 from Sprint. I carry them both because I was on a family plan with Verizon before I bought my berry and I didn't want me or my parents to have to pay the ETF so I'm keeping my LG until the contract runs out.

The lg I use for people I haven't talked to in a while but they still have my old number and while call occasionally. Also since sprint doesn't have MMS for its BBs I use it to send picture texts.

I have a Sprint Curve 8330 for my personal phone and a T Mobile Curve 8320 for my business phone. I don't have to carry the T Mobile on the weekend unless I am on call.

Just one black pearl in this guys pocket.
I suppose I can see the occasional need for a second, in cases of business or large family plans, but 3 or 4 devices??
Seems like overkill to the extreme, not to mention the health and annoyance risks...
I saw a guy the other day with a pda clipped to his belt, right next to an iphone, while he talked on what looked like an old school nokia, and I'm thinking..."dude, I hope you don't pump your own gas!", followed by, "he probably has those just so people think he's important"...and then I laughed at him and moved on.
