Never used one, but I would assume 3: One to get to manage connections, one to activate WiFi and one to close the manage connections application.

I'm sure if it turns out to be too troublesome, someone can "make an app for that" and enable one click WiFi

    Sorry Apple I couldn't resist. :-)

On my iPod Touch, if I'm not at home (where it automatically connects) it takes 3 clicks.

    1) Click Settings
    2) Click WiFi
    3) Click Desired Network

If you are on your home screen, it would be at least 4 clicks if its not on your homescreen and that is if you have manage connections as one of your icons on your next screen and not tucked into a folder. In that case, it would be 5 clicks.

    Just sayin!

You must not be aware that the signal meter in the top right corner is now a "link" to the manage connections application in both portrait and landscape (OS 5.0).
