    My gps seems to take forever to find my location. Standing outside with the sky clear and blue, I open google maps, it gives me an approximate location using the cell towers, but takes approximately 10 minutes to locate. Is this normal?

    How long does yours take?

    Mine takes 1 minute at most! Check your settings in settings}advanced settings}GPS.

    Mine takes 1min or so, i removed blackberry map and installed Google map... My GPS is fast.

    standing outside with google maps, takes my phone no more than 15 seconds once maps are loaded for it to get a precise fix (down to 3m)

    when i'm outside using google maps it takes about 1min, when i'm inside like at work or home it's varies 2-3mins the most

    About 1 minute. Which seems like a lifetime when you're just standing there looking at a screen, but probably not that long when you think about it.

    Mine takes about 10 to 15 seconds, using Garmap for Mobile.

    Evem inside it doesn't take any longer then 30 seconds
    Usually about 10-15 though

    Wow, it seems that 1 minute is the norm.

    Not sure if it works the same way as regular cell signal, but ill have full 3g and it still takes forever.

    i was reading somewhere that ther is a bug in the gps with some programs. there is a simple way to fix it, just search the forms. for the life of me i cant remember where i read it

    It just took me 23 seconds to get a GPS lock inside my house, in my basement. GPS has greatly improved for me using .545

    lol. gps is done through satellites in the sky. i assure you 3g has nothing to do with gps other than that it downloads the maps.

    My gps usually only take like 5 seconds like a month ago outside. But recently it takes forever like 1-3 minutes. I wonder if there is a serious satellites problem.

    Ps I'm using tmo original os 330 if it helps.
