The BlackBerry Guy
I was wondering why a lot of Z10 users were saying just a few hours. They have to be killing their phone with all types of stuff using it in the background. My Q10 lasts just as long as my old school nokia phones.
I do everything to save battery without curbing too many features. Low brightness, don't allow apps to run in background, no location, no Bluetooth, no nfc, and I even installed Battery Fiction Pro. I did an OS reload today to see if it worked.
Z10 STL100-3/10.3.2.2876
I have brightness on high on my phone. I just use it normal and don't have thousands of stuff on in the background.
I don't have stuff in background.

give a try to Battery Fiction App and use smart charging to see the difference in battery life good luck
My Z10 the device monitor says average of 14 hours. New battery and mixed use.

On my Priv, between 12 and 14 hours. On my Passport, around 14hrs.

I charge every other day on my passport so it will last two working days.

My Z10 regular heavy use, 6 hours or less. Keep an extra battery charged all the time. Z30 got 8 hours or less, classic gets about the same as Z30. Q10 got better than Z10 but worse than classic and z30

At least you CAN swap it... :-)

On my Z10: between 8-15 hours;
On my Leap/Classic: 1-2 full days.
Depends how much I use my devices.

15-18 hours with moderate use. I've got android messenger running in the background, and I also have both Inst10 and Face10 retrieving notifications regularly.
It's great being able to swap batteries in my Q10. I've got the battery charger pack so there's no wall hugging for me!
Q10 - 10.3.2.2876/SR .2836 < α∂∂ιт >
From 16+ hours to 1.5 days or 2 depending on usage.
"Normal" use = heavy productivity usage on a daily basis.
"Heavy" use = punctual Android gaming for some 5 - 30 minutes.
Z30, STA100-2 /10.3.2.2836
It has a tiny screen which uses less battery than your "average" smartphone. Makes a big difference.
SOT is great on the Q10... :-)

It is! But that try screen hurts my old eyes!
These battery life discussions always make me laugh. Blackberry hasn't figured out how to optimize a battery with their OS more than any other manufacturer, hence the trade offs you are given when you purchase one of their phones and the claim of "Great" battery life is given.
Z10 - battery sucks so not even worth mentioning.
Q10 - tiny screen and still decent at best - at least it's swappable though.
Z30 - washed out dim screen that saves battery because it's so **** dim.
Passport - a massive battery. It batter get good battery life with the size of it. The iPhone 6S plus gets equal or better battery life with a battery much smaller. The Galaxy S7 gets even better battery life than the Passport with a smaller battery than what that phone has.
There's always a trade off. At least you can swap the old ones but Blackberries haven't gotten good battery life since the move the LTE was made unless there is some trade off on why they are getting good battery life. The 9900's battery was garbage.
I swear I think a lot of it comes from Blackberry telling us their phones have great battery life. Just like they told us we need tools not toys and people ran with that and like them telling us we are more productive with our Blackberries so that's what people say they are.
Good grief! I would suggest buying a new battery. They are cheap. Go into app security and permissions and turn off run in the background and set your email from refreshing from 30 minutes to 2 hours. I can get a full workday on heavy use on my Z10 and get @ 300-400 emails per day. Either your battery is really old or something is running like crazy.

You seem so angry @ BlackBerry. The iPhone 6S Plus does not come close to the Passport in terms of battery life nor the Z30. My Classic battery life is better than the 6S Plus I used for a couple weeks. (huge screen is a battery hog)
Android devices are even worse in comparison. (and pretty widely known and excepted) I have used a G4 and Note3. One on Marshmallow (G4) and the other on Lollipop. Neither came close to my Z30 or Classic and the Passport is superior.
Of course all usage patterns are different. I used each in the exact same fashion for my work needs. No comparison.

I'm sorry but you're wrong on the 6S Plus. By all rights it should be because it has a massive battery, but it isn't.
And I'm not angry at all against Blackberry, I'm just not delusional about the battery life of their phones.
For me and my needs and usage no comparison. I was under 20 percent by this time of day (west coast US time) and have at least 50 percent on my Passport. iPhone, in my opinion, is the most overrated mobile device made. Outside of the camera and video I was not impressed.
