I usually use APKs to get applications on my BlackBerry because it is easier to find valid APKs than it is to find working BARs and because certain games are only available for Android and not BlackBerry. So anyway, after you download an APK from the internet, you will need to convert it to a bar file. After you have done so you will need to use a side-loading application. The two I use are DDPB and BB10 / PlayBook App Manager. The difference is DDPB has to be downloaded as where BB10 / PlayBook App Manager is a Chrome Webstore application.

    Using DDPB
    1. Download DDPB.
    2. Open the application.
    3. On your device open Settings > Security > Development Mode, then turn it on.
    4. Type in IP Address found at Settings > About > Network > Wi-Fi > IPv4, type that address on the IP spot on the required location in DDPB. (Make sure you have development mode turned on and are connected to the internet).
    5. Click "Add"
    6. Find the file(s) and open it/them.
    7. Click "Install"

Using BB10 / PlayBook App Manager
    1. Download Google Chrome.
    2. Go to Chrome Web Store.
    3. Search "BB10 / PlayBook App Manager".
    4. Get and open the application.
    5. On your device open Settings > Security > Development Mode, then turn it on.
    6. Type in IP Address found at Settings > About > Network > Wi-Fi > IPv4, type that address on the IP spot on the app.
    7. Drag and drop the .Bar file into the application and wait for it to install.

    Remember to give a "Thanks".

If you have 10.2.1 (which majority do) you can install apks directly and don't need to convert anything

10.2.1 eliminates the need to convert anything. You can download the Amazon App Store and install apps directly from there. You can also sideload Snap and download and install apps directly from there. Much simpler process now.
