How do clear your home page from icons and apps to be able to view just the wallpaper you've chosen?

    Thanks,

    Gary

Pretty simple, long press over an app that is alone in its tab and move it to a folder or other tab, and with the apps still jiggling swipe to the tab the "alone app" was, then capture and profit

I left a single icon on the top left of my main page... the rest of the apps are managed in the second window.

I like to place apps in folders. It's mainly to keep pages uncluttered. I love my Q10 with its keyboard, if I need anything from second or third pages I just type and general search for it.
My daily used apps are on the first page. Second page has my games, productivity apps, and BB's default apps in a folder. I tend to use the hub for everything.

I keep all important and frequently used on the first screen like contacts, bbm, dictionary, calendar, remember, facebook, blaq etc.

I could see "Social" one of the icon. Is it same as "SocialScope", we used to have on older BBs. How is it working on BB10?

Thanks, everyone for your suggestions. I must admit, Audux, I'm not sure what you mean by "capture and proft". I guess I'm more of a novice than I thought I was. I am going to experiment, though.

I do get what Petikeis is saying -- about leaving one icon on the main page and then managing everything else in subsequent pages. That's a very good idea.

    Thanks again.

Most used apps in right bottom quarter for easy righthand access. Less but still often used apps in bottom left quarter. Top row occasionally used apps in folders.

    Rubbish in 2nd screen.

In active frames usually calendar, weather and CB10

Or is this what you mean? (Both bottom aligned and right/left aligned depending on location on the screen.)

I'd really like to be able to place the icons anywhere on the screen, but haven't figured out how to do that yet. On Android could do it natively, on iPhone had to jailbreak & cydia tweak it with GridLock. Then I'd be in Beast Mode .

    * I really only swipe-from left for HUB. My Hub folder lights up "red" above the envelope if I am "up" and it prompts me to swipe (all icons for all comms are in Hub Folder)
    * Sorry, don't play games, just pure-play comms device, uncluttered and wannabe "Zen" screen
    * Wi-Fi Calling Toggle, BB World, etc are in OPS (so is BeBuzz and ShortcutCreater, the source of the " . " based blank icons)
    * Calendar, Clock etc in " T I M E " (what others may call JUNK or UNUSED). Folder named to remind me of that precious commodity.
    * " F I L E " named folder has "reading/filing" related icon "junk, my second unused folder.
    * BeBuzz tells me who is prompting me. IT works because I only have a handful of friends =)

Only one screen. Because four blanks take up space in the folders, I am at a capacity. Any new icons/apps mean I would have to kick a blank out of a folder and show two in folders, or, gasp! show 4!

Okay, I read through a little more, I think this is what you mean. I guess I've done both, but it took some tweaking. If you see my homescreen above, this is what I see when I click on the folder named " F I L E "

Bottom-aligned: wherein the app icons start lining up from the bottom row, reverse of what it is now. Freely positioning them would be just as good, especially if they defaulted to the bottom left or right in the first place.

I see what you mean. The original article said "Kevin is firm that we should be able to bottom align icons within folders"-- which is why I posted my first screen above (the folders are showing the two (not four) icons bottom aligned "within the folder" showing on the Homescreen. And then when you click on a folder (my third screen above, requoted in yours) the top row is "empty" and my icons that I use more than the others are "bottom aligned." Of course, it's a forced tweak pushed down by blanks, but absent better technology...sometimes brute force is the only way! Would love a GridLock or Free Position...but it all is really quick to adjust to. Reminds me of when Macs would ship with start menus up top and Windows at the bottom...and folks went one way or the other and thought that was normal...and the other was weird...
