How do you unzip a file without having winzip? I only had an eval version and it expired. Are there any other free programs that do the job around?

Google "7-zip". It is a good program that unzips any compressed file and is free.

You can continue to use winzip after it's expired, can't you? It just takes longer to load, letting you know how long your license has been expired.

WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files
7-Zip
..
If you only unzip, I prefer rar, if you need to zip up also, then 7 zip is the way to go...
