Manage internet email icon is what I use.
humm will have to check that out. thanks!
On a BIS hosted device the Email Setup icon will take you to the setup web page. Same place you use from a PC, but you should be able to drive from your phone's browser. AFAIK that's the only source of service books.
Yeah, but when I need to resend my service books disapear my whole broswer does as well

In most cases even if your browser is broken the Email Setup (the one in the setup folder, default icon is probably an envelope with a cog on it) should still work. You can setup a virgin just out of box phone from the emailsetup, the settings seem to be built in to the way email setup calls the browser.
You must have a connection to the provider's BIS site to get the service books, because that is where they come from. If it's so much broken the browser won't work at all (also try "Register" from Host Routing Table) you need a PC anyway, because I wouldn't rely on the phone to get anywhere useful. I won't ask how the phone got so confused ;)
Lol yeaj I tried registering before I sent my service books... Didn't work.

I don't think Verizon allows you to resend them from the device. I think you can only log into the BIS from a PC.
go to options>advanced options>host routing table>select>function key>register now
here is the 8830 user guide if you want to browse that..
BlackBerry 8830 UG EN
That's how I do it, and it seems to work.
I did that.. Didn't work

I'm on Verizon and have resent service books several times (and registered the host routing table) without problems.

Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table, Press Enter, press the Menu key, select Register Now.

what do you expect to happen when you go into host routing table and send service books that way?
you had to send your service books to get what to work ?
i seriously think we are not on the same page...
all that happens when you hit register now is that you get a message in your message folder saying this device has been registered and bla bla bla
Lol probably not I had an error when I tried to open my broswer - something about it not being configred for use. Went to host routing table and register my handset... Still didn't work. So I had to do to my pc and login to the bis sote and send my service books.. All worked well after that. I wanted to know if there was a way to send the sb from the hanbdset in case this happenes again and I am not near a pc.. I was stating earlier that I did the routing table thing and it did not work. That u had to send my service books to get net access again

Yes, service books and HRT registration are different animals. I think the phone needs a good HRT to look for service books, but I could have that bass ackwards :).
u can always call CS and have them send your service books if you are not close to a comp
Yeah that's what I did the first time this happened

if you go to the SETUP -> EMAIL settings -> hit the menu button and hit service books and choose send service books
I just resend my service books via above. and did a test. i got my message 7 seconds after outlook recieved it (15 seconds after i sent it) Lets see if this holds true tomorrow.... if it does i will be happy it was annoying checking my emails at my computer then 5 minutes later getting the same email
Can you be more specific? I don't think these options are available on the Pearl/Curve.
I am on VZ and Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table, Press Enter, press the Bb Menu key, select Register Now. Works like a champ
On the Curve 8330 it's Home Screen>EMail Setup>login if you've created password-acct, skip if not>Service Book>Send Service Books.
The OP's problem (or someone in this thread) was that this requires at least a functional browser and if the browser doesn't work at all you won't be able to get to this screen and have to do it from PC or calling the carrier.
