Wow, I thought it only worked by facing out. Didn't think you could put it in this holster facing in. What's the difference? Will it still go into standby mode if you holster it facing in? I thought the sensor was behind the keyboard.
Plus I thought the design of the holster was for it facing out only.
Facing out. Just did it that way because I figured the magnets were in the back of the case and the magnets on my phone are on the back. But I don't use that case a whole lot anymore.

Both Curve and W.E. face inboard because that way when I remove it from the holster it is facing me and less opportunity to drop it turning it around. I can be a klutz at times.
I keep it facing outward. The holster has indentations to protect the trackball on both sides.
When I first got my Curve, I kept it facing inward in the holster. I hadn't had it 2 weeks when I gouged the mother-lovin' $#@!&!! out of the screen. There was a buckle on the beltline of the shorts I was wearing, and when I drew my Curve out of the holster while sitting down one night, the buckle gouged an inch-long furrow into the lens. (I hadn't gotten a screen protector yet).
Ever since, I keep it facing outward so the only thing facing the screen when I draw it is the palm of my hand. I find it protects it from just about anything in the vicinity. I use my thumb and middle finger on the sides, and as I pull it up in front of me, it pivots down into my palm perfectly on its own. It's like an extension of my body now.
