Is there a good use for GPS without paying to use the ATT Navigator? That does cost, right?

I'd use BBMaps and/or amAzegps. I don't care for google maps much.

One of the Moderators should make this a Sticky. Or move the thread to a Bold 9000 FAQ Links post if one exists.

For some reason, my GPS can take up to 30minutes for the satellite to lock in. Is this normal?
I've tried this with BB $aps, google, nav4all, etc and it does take a very long time.
Usually I already get to where I want before I actually use the GPS

My GPS used to take a long time to lock in, particularly using Telnav, but since I upgraded to .190 it is pretty fast

Mine takes minutes in any app. But I make sure to do this outside.
